NILOOFAR MOHAMMADIFAR
Born in 1987 in Tehran
BA in Management
In her work, Niloofar Mohammadifar explores “death” and “eternity,” two concepts which have always fascinated the human being. Utopia is the heaven on earth, a place where one can immerse oneself in joy and happiness. When a loss happens, it’s a natural desire to believe in another world where life continues, so everyone might unite again. Mohammadifar has grown up with the fear of avoiding sins with the hope to make her way to paradise or a better world, which makes life’s difficulties tolerable. In her art, she questions the relationship between the promised paradise and the modern human being’s desire for eternity, whether moving towards creating utopia contradicts or reinforces this desire.
