Azadeh Ramezani Tabrizi is a Turkey-based visual artist who has a diverse body of work. Her “Free Range” project consists of an enormous headless roasted chicken and a number of finger-size headless chicken figures in glass display. The term “Free Range” refers to chickens that had freedom of movement before being slaughtered for mass consumption. Tabrizi explores the idea of freedom and its value, even if it is a memory of a dead chicken.
