There are moments in life when we feel a resistance to move. We need to stop,  and take a moment to gather our thoughts in order to concentrate on our feelings, or to discover, understand and let things go. In her series titled  “Seated People” , Elahe Farjad has illuminated these sentiments  before our eyes. She depicts figures in their most ecstatic moods juxtaposed against the quiet portrayal of the static feel of resistance using  vermilion shades.  Her paintings causes a standstill, and a calmness that allows us to pause as the viewer..
