Neda Moin Afshari’s paintings focus on figures with minimal colors. The work exhibited here is from the “Mourning” series, a collection which responds to Afshari’s own sense of grief when she lost her father ten years ago. Her long grieving process has carried through these mourning figures, which invites the audience to communally feel this experience of loss.
